Krista A. Parry practices in the areas of Elder Law, Long Term Care Planning, Advance Directives, Wills and Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, Pet Trusts, Probate, and Guardianship.
She received her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in December 2006, graduating in the top 15% of her class.
Krista received numerous awards including: Dean’s List, Top Oral Argument in her Legal Research and Writing Class, Best Team Award and Best Objections Award in the Mock Trial Competition for Trial Practice Class.
She was also nominated for Student Commencement Speaker, the Jerome Kermit Award for Distinguished Public Service, and the Phyllis Stansell Ethics and Professional Award.
Krista was elected by her peers to serve on the Honor Court, the Student Bar Association, and Vice President and Interim President of the student Christian Legal Society. Additionally, she was awarded the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Scholarship (given to only ten students in the state), and the Florida Coastal School of Law Merit Scholarship. During her studies, Krista was a Certified Legal Intern with the Office of General Counsel for the City of Jacksonville and a law clerk at Pajcic & Pajcic.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Krista graduated with Honors from the Carlson School of Management, at the University of Minnesota. She participated in the Emerging Leadership Program and completed 86 hours of community service. Krista received the University of Minnesota Presidential Scholarship, the Jay and Rose Phillips Family Scholarship, and the Twin Cities Home and Community Section Scholarship. She also was inducted into the Residence Hall Honorary, awarded to the top 1% of Residence Hall Leaders.
Krista served as a Community Advisor for three years living in the first-year residence halls. During her studies, she developed and led a field study in Europe on the topic of Sacred Geometry, as an independent undergraduate research project totaling 130 hours. She also was on the High Distinction Dean’s List and deeply involved in volunteer activities in her community.
Krista is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Elder law section of the florida bar, estate planning Council of Northeast Florida, the Jacksonville Bar Association, and the Christian Legal Society. She has been a guest speaker at the University of North Florida, AAA Construction School, Florida Coastal School of Law and various assisted living communities.
In her spare time, Krista enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking group classes at the YMCA, ballroom dancing, taking walks on the beach, and volunteering.
She has participated in volunteer activities such as: Builder’s Care, Habitat for Humanity, SuperBowl City Cleanup, City Rescue Mission, face painting for children, guest service team at her church, and First Coast No More Homeless Pets.
